By accessing or using the website tax2godesoto.com or any services offered by Tax2Go DeSoto ("we," "our," "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

Services Provided

Tax2Go DeSoto provides tax preparation, tax planning, IRS representation, and the Deduct Smart Recovery program for IRS penalty abatement claims. All services are subject to the terms outlined in your individual engagement letter and any signed authorization forms (Form 2848, Form 8821, and IRC 7216 consent).

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use our services. By engaging us, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.

Fees and Payment

Service fees vary based on the type of work performed. For the Deduct Smart Recovery program, a $50 setup fee is required to begin work, and a 10% contingency fee is charged on any amounts successfully recovered from the IRS. If no amount is recovered, no contingency fee is owed beyond the original setup fee. All fees are disclosed in advance and must be paid through our secure payment system before work begins.

Client Responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate, complete, and timely information needed to perform our services. This includes signing required IRS authorization forms, providing tax documents, and responding to our communications. Delays caused by missing or inaccurate information may impact deadlines, and Tax2Go DeSoto is not responsible for missed filing windows resulting from such delays.

No Guarantee of Outcomes

While we use our professional expertise to pursue the best outcome for every client, we cannot guarantee specific results. The IRS makes the final determination on all claims, refunds, and abatement amounts. Estimates we provide are based on available records and our professional judgment, not a promise of recovery.

Confidentiality

We treat all client information as confidential. We share information only with parties you authorize, such as the IRS or partners you have consented to in writing through our IRC 7216 disclosure form. Our team is bound by professional confidentiality standards.

Refund Policy

The $50 setup fee for the Deduct Smart Recovery program is refundable only if we determine, after reviewing your IRS records, that you do not qualify for the program. In that case, we will issue a full refund of the setup fee. Once work has begun based on your authorization forms and records have been pulled, the setup fee is non-refundable. Other service fees are governed by the terms of your individual engagement letter.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tax2Go DeSoto is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services or website. Our total liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount of fees you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

Either party may terminate the engagement at any time with written notice. If you terminate after work has begun, you remain responsible for fees earned up to the date of termination. We reserve the right to terminate services for any reason, including non-payment, failure to provide required information, or conduct that violates these terms.

Intellectual Property

All content on tax2godesoto.com, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Tax2Go DeSoto or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Dallas County, Texas.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The most current version will always be posted on our website. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
